How to restore, restore or initialize your computer under Win8

If your computer has a problem, you can try to restore, restore or initialize your computer. Restoring a computer is a way to undo a recent system change. Tips: & nbsp; System Restore & rdquo; does not apply to Windows RT.

Use “System Restore Restore your computer

1. Swipe in from the right edge of the screen and click "Search”. (If using the mouse, point to the top right corner of the screen, then move the pointer down, then click “search”.) type “restore" in the search box, click or click “set”, then Click or click “Restore”.

2. Click or click &"Start System Restore" and follow the prompts.

Recovering your computer without affecting your files

If your computer is not performing as well as before, and you don’t know what caused it, you can recover your computer without deleting any individuals. File or change your settings.

Tip: You may be prompted to insert the CD or recovery media that came with your computer. Check the information that came with your computer to see if your computer manufacturer has provided these discs or media. In some cases, these discs or media may have been created the first time you set up your computer.

Warning: Apps that are included with your computer or installed from the Windows Store will be reinstalled, but all apps installed from other sites and DVDs will be removed. After restoring your computer, you will find a list of deleted apps on your desktop.

Steps to Recover Your Computer

1. Swipe in from the right edge of the screen, click “Set”, then click “Change PC Settings”. (If using the mouse, point to the top right corner of the screen, then move the pointer down, click “Set”, then click “Change PC Settings 

2.In “Computer Under Settings, click or click “General”.

3. Under "Restore your computer without affecting your files", click or click “Start”.

4. Follow the instructions on the screen.

Deleting everything and reinstalling Windows

If you want to recycle your computer, transfer it to someone else, or just reuse it, you can fully initialize it.

Reminder: You may be prompted to insert the CD or recovery media that came with your computer. Check the information that came with your computer to see if your computer manufacturer has provided these discs or media. In some cases, these discs or media may have been created the first time you set up your computer.

Warning: All your personal files will be deleted and your settings will be reset. All apps included with your computer will be reinstalled, but any other apps will be removed.

Initializing the computer

1. Swipe in from the right edge of the screen, click “Set”, then click “Change PC Settings”. (If using the mouse, point to the top right corner of the screen, then move the pointer down, click “Set”, then click “Change PC Settings 

2.In “Computer Under Settings, click or click “General”.

3. Under <;Delete all content and reinstall Windows";, tap or click “Start”.

4. Follow the instructions on the screen.
