Install and configure Media Center on Win 8

Windows Media Center is no longer pre-installed on the system since Win8. Users can only purchase the installation package separately for installation.

The installation steps are as follows:

1. Open the email containing the license key issued by Microsoft and copy it.

2, slide out the super bar on the right side of the screen, type "ld features" in the search box, and then click the "Add features to Windows 8" option.

3. Click on “I already have a product key” in the new window and enter the key. After verification, the Media Center will start installation.

Note: There will be no progress bar during the installation process. The system will notify you that the computer will automatically restart and set the update. Remember to save your working files before rebooting.

4. After the computer restarts, run the media center.

5. Click Continue in the window, select Quick Settings or Custom Settings, and then continue.
