Win8's travel application is actually a Bing travel service, and the horizontal display is ideal for tablet and widescreen touch screen devices. The travel app captures photos, content and information from more than 3,000 global destinations, including airport, hotel and restaurant details.

Travel apps encourage users to use this feature to book air travel and hotel products. It can be used to direct users to the airline website or to a third-party travel partner's website via IE. If a user is still not sure if they want to make a reservation, you can also add the relevant reservation information to the start menu with the “Pushpin” or click the button to share it with others.
