Now the X86 architecture can develop a wealth of applications, and the tablet with this architecture also makes the experience more diversified. However, at present, this type of tablet is pre-installed with the Win7 system. Due to the poor support of the system, the user will carry the keyboard base more often, which makes it lose the charm of touch.

Now Windows system fully supports the tablet with built-in X86 architecture processor, so in theory the tablet can be upgraded to the above system. This system installation selected the official version of Win8 to experience, in the first time to feel the charm of Win8 tablet. Before installing, briefly talk about the installation requirements.

Win8 system requirements:

Win8 works great on the same hardware that powers Windows Vista and Windows 7 (Win8 system requirements are the same as Win7)

1 GHz or faster 32-bit (x86) or 64-bit (x64) processor (CPU with 1G or higher frequency)

1 GB RAM (32-bit) or 2 GB RAM (64-bit) (minimum 1 GB memory required) , recommended 2G or more)

16 GB available hard disk space (32-bit) or 20 GB (64-bit) (system disk is above 16G)

DirectX 9 graphics device with WDDM 1.0 Or higher driver (Direct 9 or higher graphics card)

Taking advantage of touch input requires a screen that supports multi-touch (If you want to use the touch function, you need a touch-enabled display)

Introduction to installing device hardware

In terms of hardware configuration, the tablet PC with Windows 8 system is equipped with Intel Atom N2600 dual-core processor, clocked at 1.6GHz, and integrated with GMA3600 integrated graphics. Built-in 2GB memory with 32GB SSD solid state drive. Because the hard drive capacity is too small to allow dual systems to be installed, this entire process will be completely new.

Making Win8 Installation Disks

Pre-installed tablets are not equipped with a common USB A-type interface (but mini USB), so ordinary U-disks cannot be connected to them, but they are not connected to them. With the TF card slot, it can be tested by the TF card after testing, so we burn the Windows 8 installation disk to the TF.

First of all, we need to download and install the Ultraiso software, and write the Win8 image to the TF card through the “Write to Hard Disk” function.

Load the downloaded CD image into the Ultraiso software and insert the card reader to start writing the hard disk image. It should be noted that this hard disk image has about 2.8GB, so a minimum of 4G TF card is required. In addition, writing the image will format the TF card, so if there is something in the TF card, make a backup in advance.
