Do not look regret! 16 Win8 Tips you don't know

The Windows 8 Consumer Preview brings a lot of new changes, at least some of the legendary features that can be truly experienced in this edition. However, because it is the first time to combine the touch screen and mouse and keyboard operations, some features will inevitably be slightly different from Windows7. This article does not introduce those well-known operations, but specifically collects a set of lesser-known tips. I hope this article will give you a deeper understanding of this new system!

1. Corner hot zone

The new Win8 cancels the start menu, but you can still enter the Metro interface when you click the lower left corner with the mouse. In fact, the remaining corners have similar functions. For example, the upper left corner represents cyclic switching between open Metro applications, the upper right corner represents one-click activation of the Charm toolbar, the lower left corner is Metro and traditional desktop switching keys, and the lower right corner means that all open programs are minimized (Metro interface) The next represents the global display of the Metro group).

2. Program shutdown

We know that the Metro application does not have a close button when the system switches from one application to another When applied, Win8 will automatically "hang" & rdquo;. Although the suspended state has no consumption of CPU and network bandwidth except for a small amount of memory, many people are still not used to "hanging" too much Metro process.

The Consumer Preview allows you to turn off the Metro app by right-clicking on the app switch bar and closing the target app. Of course, you can also use the Win7 era of "local law", directly with the task manager to get it!

Metro is the biggest highlight in Win8, but do you know that there are several ways to quickly enter the Metro interface? The first and easiest is to directly click on the bottom left corner of the desktop. Secondly, the Win key on the keyboard is also a good choice. In addition, the same thing can be achieved by the “Start” icon in Charm.

4. “Start Menu”

Many people know that hovering over the bottom left corner of the desktop will activate a thumbnail icon and click to enter the Metro interface. But you may not know, if you right click on this place, it will activate another hidden menu —— a small menu that looks like the old version of "Start Menu".

6. Program Uninstall

Control panel to find uninstall, this is the old habit of more than ten years, Win8 can also do this. 7. Fast Shutdown

shutdown has been very Win8 It's a headache. Because it is designed under a second-level menu, many new users can't find the shutdown button. Shortcuts are sometimes a good way to solve such problems. For example, Metro+I can use Win+I, and traditional interface can use Alt+F4. However, the most important thing is to use “Power Management” (by “Setting Search” →power→Change the function of the power button"Open) Set the power button to shutdown, and then just press the power off button as soon as possible.

8. Quick Search

The Metro interface supports direct keyword search, which is a feature that many people know. However, Win8 has been divided into three sub-entries: “Apply” and “Settings”, “Files”, and each search searches for “Apply”. Other results require users to manually switch. In fact, these three entries correspond to different shortcut keys, such as “ application & rdquo; corresponding to Win + Q, & ldquo; set & rdquo; corresponding to Win + W, & ldquo; file & rdquo; corresponding to Win + F, Which one is required to directly press the corresponding shortcut key is much more convenient than the previous manual switching.
