1.Cdburn Supported File Formats and Burning Methods
Cdburn is used to burn CD ISO. It supports burning formats: ISO9660, Joliet, Universal Disk Format (UDF). Its burning mode supports TAO (Track At Once, Chinese name is track write) and SAO (Session At Once, Chinese name is sector write). By default, TAO mode is adopted, but it should be noted that it is not All recorders support TAO mode. If you are using a rewritable disc, Cdburn also has the ability to erase data on the CD-RW.
Tip: TAO is a way of writing multiple times in the "track", all tracks will be written one by one during the writing process, and will be closed after one track is written. The laser head can not close the section, and when another track is written down, the laser head is re-opened to continue writing.
SAO is a mode that can only burn one segment instead of the entire disc. The remaining space after each burn can be used next time. This mode is usually used for multi-session CD-ROM production. But each time you burn a new section, you need to occupy about 13MB of disc space to store the structure of the section and the connection information of the previous section, and prepare for the next section.
2. Command Format and Parameter Description
Command Format 1: cdburn /erase [image [options]]
Command Format 2: cdburn image [options]
Drive indicates the drive letter, image indicates the location and file name of the image file to be burned, and the [option] parameter and meaning are as follows:
/speed max If you do not specify this parameter, then the default is In this case, Cdburn will burn at 4x speed. If the value of speed is specified as max, then the maximum speed will be used for burning.
/erase Erases the data on a rewritable disc when you start burning. This parameter is only useful for rewritable discs.
/sao Use SAO mode to burn or use cue sheet mode. If you do not use this parameter, the default TAO mode will be used.
/imagehaspostgap By default, when you burn a disc, Cdburn will automatically add a blank area of 150 sector to it. If the data you want to burn is close to the capacity of a disc, then use this parameter. This area can be overwritten, but it also means that you can no longer append any data to the disc.
Note: The image file must be specified in the command format unless the /erase parameter is used. If the command format 2 is used, the data on the rewritable disc will be automatically erased before the data is burned. .
3.Examples
For example, if your CD-ROM drive is an I-disk, if you want to burn the D:vlk.iso file, just switch the command prompt to the command prompt first. In the directory where the Cdburn.exe program is located, enter the following command:
cdburn I: d:vlk.iso
Then press Enter, the current progress of the burn will be displayed in the window. . Finally, it will display:
Finished Writing
Synchronizing Cache:burn successful!
This indicates that you have successfully burned the vlk.iso file.
This is a default burning method, we can add parameters according to the parameter description in the command format.
For example, if you want to erase the data on the rewritable disc in the I disk, just type the cdburn I: -erase command at the command prompt and execute it. Previous12Next page Total 2 pages
