Phishing is an attacker using fraudulent emails and fake Web sites for scams. The scammers often reveal their personal information. Tips

The plugin requires that the system installed must be windows xp SP2, and you must first install MSN Search Toolbar 2.05 or higher for IE 6.0. toolbar.

After installing the plugin and restarting IE, it will be found in the MSN Search Toolbar (Figure 1). The tool will scan the sites you are browsing. If they match the definition of Microsoft's "blacklist", the software will automatically warn the user.

Tips

The plugin is launched by default with MSN Search Toolbar. If it is not found on the toolbar, you need to click on “MSN&rdquo on the left. ; icon, then select the "MSN search toolbar option" menu item to open the settings dialog box, enter the "Phishing Filter" option on the left side of the dialog box, and then on the right side of the "Turn on Microsoft Phishing Filter Add-in" Tick ​​the option (Figure 2).

This tool can check the website where users log in in real time, and prevent phishing websites from obtaining user information in time. If the software does not prompt you and you think that a website you visit may be a phishing website, you can click on the toolbar "Phishing Filter→ Report this web" to report to Microsoft so that they can verify whether it is a phishing website.

Tips for preventing phishing

1. Be vigilant, do not log in to unfamiliar websites, and proofread when typing the website address, in case you enter the wrong error, you can find it carefully. Some flaws.

2, don't open the emails of strangers, let alone believe in others, especially the news from instant messaging tools, most likely due to viruses.

3, install anti-virus software and timely update the virus knowledge base and operating system (such as Windows) patch.

4, enter sensitive information into privacy protection, open a personal firewall.

5. Don't click on any of the links when you receive an unknown email. Before logging in to the bank's website, pay attention to the browser address bar. If you find that the web address cannot be modified, you can still see the web address floating on the desktop after minimizing the IE window. Please close the IE window immediately to avoid the account password being stolen.
