How to install Windows components

To add a component, click the appropriate checkbox to select it. To remove a component, click the corresponding checkbox to clear it.

Note: The checkbox with shading indicates that only a portion of the component can be installed.

To view the contents of a component, click the component and then click Details. Click the check box next to the subcomponent you want to add, select it, then click OK.

Note: If the details button (grayed out) is not available, the component has no subcomponents associated with it.

Click Next.

Follow the instructions in the "Windows Components Wizard"

Click Close to close the Add/Remove Programs dialog box.

Note: You need to configure some Windows components before using them. If one or more of these components are installed, but they are not configured, clicking on “Add/Remove Windows Components> will display a list of components that must be configured. To configure the component, click Configure and follow the instructions on the screen xx.
