Win 2003 common troubleshooting

For the needs of the server, Windows 2003 handles the default settings of the sound card, graphics card and other hardware. Individual users often encounter some "faults" when they use it.

1. The picture is rough when playing a movie

Many friends have such a "encounter": their computer configuration is quite good, the graphics card can be automatically recognized and installed when Windows 2003 is installed, but the picture is very rough when playing movies. After installing the latest version of the graphics card driver, the picture quality remains the same. In fact, this is because the default display options of Windows 2003 are not optimized according to the needs of individual users.

The solution is simple: right click on the desktop, then go to “display properties → set → advanced → troubleshoot & rdquo;, & ldquo; hardware acceleration & rdquo; cursor to the right to “ Full & rdquo;, point & ldquo; OK & rdquo; exit. Then go to “ start → all programs → attachments & rarr; system tools & rarr; system information & rdquo;, select & ldquo; tools & rarr; DirectX diagnostic tools & rdquo; (due to the program to collect system information, so need to wait a little, may appear Splash screen), select the “Show” tab, turn on the “DirectDraw Acceleration” and “Direct 3D Acceleration” item, click "Sign out”

2. Sound card does not work or the game is seriously delayed when playing games

In Windows 2003, most sound cards can continue to use their drivers in Windows 2000/XP, while older sound cards (such as the Dimension S90, etc.) The driver is only installed manually. After installing the sound card, users often encounter the following two problems.

1) The sound card does not work

After the driver installation is completed, the sound card can be used normally in the Windows 2003 Standard Edition. In the Enterprise Edition, the system still cannot sound. The solution steps are: Go to “Control Panel & Rarr; Sound and Audio Control Device> Check the “Audio Service” option and click “OK” to restart the computer.

2) The sound is seriously delayed when playing the game

The solution is: Go to the “DirectX Diagnostic Tool” and select the “Sound” tab in the “Acceleration Level”. Drag the cursor to the right to “full acceleration", “exit”

3. IE always reminds you of potential security risks

“ Always feel that the latest version is the safest. I didn't expect to browse the webpage under Windows 2003. Every time I visit a page, IE will remind you of potential security risks and ask if you want to continue. Too inconvenient, & quoquo; often have friends complaining like this.

The reason for this problem is that the default security level of IE in Windows 2003 is "high", so although the security is improved, it brings a lot of trouble to our daily Internet. It is recommended to adjust the security level to "in" in the following way: Start IE, select “Tools →Internet Options", set the security level to “> in the "Security" tab.

4. System response is slow when running large software

Server and workstation requirements for system resources are different. If we want to run software such as Photoshop 3DSMAX, we should reassign system resources to something like Windows XP. status.

The setup steps are: Go to “Control Panel →System"Select “Advanced" tab, in the "Performance" column, “Set“ button, select “Advanced&rdquo ; tab, in the "Processor Plan" and "Memory Usage" column, select "ldquo; program", and finally "set" & rdquo; and restart the computer.

After the above settings, do you think Windows 2003 is more cordial?
