1.Cdburn Supported File Formats and Burning Methods

Cdburn is used to burn CD ISO. It supports burning formats: ISO9660, Joliet, Universal Disk Format (UDF). Its burning mode supports TAO (Track At Once, Chinese name is track write) and SAO (Session At Once, Chinese name is sector write). By default, TAO mode is adopted, but it should be noted that it is not All recorders support TAO mode. If you are using a rewritable disc, Cdburn also has the ability to erase data on the CD-RW.

Tip: TAO is a way of writing multiple times in the "track", all tracks will be written one by one during the writing process, and will be closed after one track is written. The laser head can not close the section, and when another track is written down, the laser head is re-opened to continue writing.

SAO is a mode that can only burn one segment instead of the entire disc. The remaining space after each burn can be used next time. This mode is usually used for multi-session CD-ROM production. But each time you burn a new section, you need to occupy about 13MB of disc space to store the structure of the section and the connection information of the previous section, and prepare for the next section.

2. Command Format and Parameter Description

Command Format 1: cdburn /erase [image [options]]

Command Format 2: cdburn image [options]

Drive indicates the drive letter, image indicates the location and file name of the image file to be burned, and the [option] parameter and meaning are as follows:

If the data you want to burn is close to the capacity of a disc, then use this parameter. This area can be overwritten, but it also means that you can no longer append any data to the disc.
