Two ways to modify the default desktop path under windows7

                                                                                                                                                                                         

A few days ago, the computer
had some problems, and I could not find some problems. Finally, I reinstalled the system. In my impression, the documents were in non-system disks, and I forgot some work today. The data is still on the desktop, in order to prevent such problems in the future, directly modify the win7 default desktop path to other disks. There are two ways to modify the desktop path in win7, one is to modify the registry. As follows:

Modify the default desktop path of win7 through the registry:

First step: shortcut key: windows
+R Open the run, enter regedit to open the registry.

Step 2: In the  quo;Registry Editor", expand to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\\Software\\Microsoft\\Windows\\CurrentVersion\\Explorer\\Shell Folders, click ”Shell Folders”, in the right window Press “Name“Found”Desktop” and double-click, pop-up  Edit String“ dialog box, change the following “Value Data (V)” to the location of the other hard disk you want to put.

Step 3: Also expand to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\\Software\\Microsoft\\Windows\\CurrentVersion\\Explorer\\User Shell Folders in the  quo;Registry Editor", click “User Shell Folders“, Right click on the window name & rdquo; find & rdquo; Desktop & rdquo; and double click, pop up & rdquo; edit string & ldquo; dialog box, " rdquo; value data (V) & rdquo; make the corresponding changes.

In addition to modifying the registry, there is another way to visualize the operation:

Step 1: Find the default path of your system. In general, the path is like this. C:\\Users\\Administrator\\Desktop

Step 2: Right-click on the desktop, as shown below, find the location, then change the location path to the path you want to save, then click Move!

Step 3: Wait for about a few minutes, your system default path will go to the path you set!
