Win10 Mobile new feature inventory: web payment /new settings /view 3D, etc.

Earlier this week, we covered some of the features on the 2017 Windows 10 PC, including improved Microsoft Edge, setup apps, Windows themes, low Blu-ray mode, and more. Some of these features will also come to Windows 10 Mobile in 2017, but not all features. Windows 10 Mobile hasn't seen any major updates in the Insider preview over the past 10 years, but it seems that Microsoft will soon introduce some features. The screenshots received by the foreign media MSPU reveal some upcoming changes, let us take a look.

Microsoft Edge

First, Microsoft is making several improvements to Microsoft Edge. The company introduced a major new feature called Web Payments on Windows 10 PC and Windows 10 Mobile. This feature is available for PCs configured as 14986, but can also be used with the latest Windows 10 Mobile builds. Web Payments will make the payment process on the website that supports the payment request API more convenient.

Microsoft is also improving Edge's hub in Windows 10 Mobile to make it look like a PC interface. The browser now displays some more information about the different options available to the Hub, as well as the neat little graphics similar to Windows 10 PCs.

Microsoft is developing another feature of Edge, an integrated bookstore that will allow users to save/bookmark EPUB books. This is a nice feature, and Microsoft recently added EPUB support. This includes supporting EPUB files and a very nice UI to make the viewing experience better.

Settings

Similar to Windows 10 PCs, a series of new updates will also come to the Windows 10 Mobile Settings app. First, Microsoft has reorganized some of the "set" applications to make it easier to navigate through the app. For example, the "Settings" application has a brand new app section where users can find detailed information about installed apps, reset them, and more.

Microsoft has also modified the "Devices" section, similar to the latest improvements we've seen on Windows 10 PCs. The company adjusted the UI of connected devices and now displays different categories for different types of devices connected to your device. In addition to this, the addition of the device UI has also been improved.

Another feature of Windows 10 Mobile is the ability to pause updates for up to 35 days in Windows Update. You can't use this feature in Windows 10 Mobile, but if you need or don't want to install a new version at some point, you can simply use this feature to pause it and install it later.

There is also a new Continue app icon.

View 3D

Microsoft recently added a new View 3D app to Windows 10 PCs that allows users to view 3D content on their devices. This feature is also coming to mobile devices as it is now pre-installed in the latest build. Currently, View 3D only allows you to view 3D content (3MF, PLY, OBJ, FBX and STL files), but in the future users will be able to capture 3D content, similar to what Microsoft announced in October.

These are just some of the new features. The company hasn't added any major features to the creator update for Windows 10 Mobile, but Microsoft will add some heavy features in the coming period.
