Win10 build 14393.479 cumulative update patch KB3201845 no network connection solution

Microsoft recently launched an update to the Windows 10 anniversary update user KB3201845. This update upgrades the operating system version number to 14393.479, which fixes a few issues.

However, it also causes some users to disconnect their Internet connection. According to The Register and several other reports from the network, the problem is caused by a problem with DHCP (Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol) on Windows. In addition to the user's report, Microsoft has confirmed this issue in its official forum, and our own laptop is also affected by the problem after installing KB3201845.

Fortunately, there are several fix methods available. First, the user can try to run the following commands one by one at the command prompt (CMD). You can open CMD by pressing Win + R, type “cmd.exe” and press Enter. Once CMD is opened, the following commands are triggered one after the other:

netsh winsock reset catalog

netsh int ipv4 reset reset.log

If the above fix does not work, users are advised Try to update the IP address of their PC. To do this, open CMD (Win + R, type “cmd.exe” and press Enter), and type the following command in it:

ipconfig/renew

If the above method does not work To solve your problem, please try to follow Microsoft's official help guide, which has some temporary solutions. Microsoft is also working hard to fix this problem.
