First log in to the win2008 server remotely, run--enter“mstsc”click OK to open the remote login interface, enter the server's ip, click on the connection;

Enter the login name and login password of the win2008 server, click <;OK” button;

Enter the remote win2008 server Interface, you want to open IIS Manager. On the remote server, start--Run--Enter <;inetmgr”, click “OK" button;

Open Internet Information Services (IIS) Manager, double-click on the left list bar The name of the server below the start page;

Double-click on the website, pop up the list of established websites, you can see the website you have built;

Click on the website to be modified On the right side, you can see the website properties of IIS, ASP, CGI, modules, default documents, etc.;

Double-click the default document in the IIS property list, and the default document function list will pop up. Name and item type;

Note that you can't simply move “index.html” online, first delete the index.html in the list, then add a new index.html, mouse Right-click---drop-down menu--add---fill in the input box “index.html”, click OK;

Move the newly created index.html file to the most Above, make sure that it is in the first place in the list, move the method, right mouse button, click on the move up;

Step 9 The index.html file entry type is "inherited", and the newly created index.html file entry type is "local", which is the only way to ensure that the "index.html" after the homepage domain name of the website is successfully removed;

Open the site and you'll see the effects before and after the changes. The index.html behind the website domain name is gone. Successfully modified.

Notes

Be sure to delete index.html (inherited) in step 9 and create a new index.html (local) to ensure the modification is successful. The reason is why, please also advise the gods. Greatful.
