Win10 adds WD scanning option to the right-click menu of the file (clip)

Starting from Win8 The Windows Defender that comes with the system is no longer just a simple spyware defense tool. It has the ability to detect viruses. Since Win8.1, its function has been consistent with Microsoft's free anti-virus software MSE, which can provide users with basic security. For those who don't like the shackles of anti-virus software, a Windows Defender may be enough.

Under MSE, Windows Defender does not have a right-click scan function. What if you want to manually scan a file or folder? At this point we can add the menu to achieve, friends who need this can refer to the following method:

Note: This method is also applicable to Windows8 and Windows 8.1, previously shared the method of manually editing the registry, but Only for folders. The following method only needs to run the reg file to import into the registry, does not require manual editing, and is suitable for single file scanning.

1, first download the registry import file (click here to download), unzip after downloading;

To prevent accidents, you can back up the registry before importing, you can use the soft media cube ( Click here to download the backup master in the backup registry.

2, double-click Add.reg, in the pop-up window, click "Yes".

After the import is successful, you can right-click on the file or folder to perform a Windows Defender scan, as shown in the following figure.

However, the WD window will not pop up during scanning, and the scanning status will be displayed in the CMD. “Scan starting” indicates that the scan starts and “Scan finished” indicates that the scan is over and there will be a corresponding prompt when scanning for threats.

Finally, if you want to delete the context menu, just run Remove.reg.
