Win10 Build 10547 Quick Preview Update: Start Menu is stronger

After the release of Windows 10 Build 10532 a few weeks ago, Microsoft has once again pushed a new preview version for Windows Insider members. Fast Ring users can get the latest Build 10547 version through Windows Update. Microsoft said that this new version brings "BUG fixes and performance optimizations" based on Build 10532, but there are some known issues that have not been fixed.

The most important improvements are in the Start menu, Edge browser, and tablet mode.

The Start menu in Build 10547 can display more tiles. Users can enable the “Show more tiles" option in the settings to increase the tile display of the Start menu to 4 columns. The limit number is 2048, which is 4 times larger than before.

The Edge Browser is a new addition to the Object RTC preview. The RTC API enables real-time audio and video communication for the Edge browser, eliminating the need to install plugins. Seamless collaboration with instant messaging software such as Skype is possible.

In addition, the split screen display in tablet mode is also optimized. The user can drag the application from the task view to the left and right sides of the screen to display the screen, replace the application that was previously displayed in the same position, and drag to the bottom to close the application.
