Microsoft added a nice blur effect to the Windows 10 taskbar in the previous Insider preview build. However, Microsoft removed the effect in the recent build, and it did not appear in the official release.
Now, a Microsoft employee called "jenmsft" (which appears to be a member of the Windows Shell team) revealed on Reddit that Microsoft removed the blur effect because of performance issues. Here's a full description:
You are not wrong. We originally had this special effect, but for some performance reasons it had to be removed. The Microsoft team has realized the voice of (positively) feedback and hopes to return to the Windows 10 system as soon as possible. You can also freely post your own opinions in the feedback app.
As Jen said, Microsoft has realized the call for feedback on this special effect, and it is very likely that this special effect will return in the near future. So if you are a user who likes fuzzy effects, are you happy that Microsoft is actively bringing it back to Windows 10? Please let us know in the comments section below!
