Win10 Home Edition users: Microsoft should set up flow control for automatic update

Microsoft clearly stated in the new version of Win10 License Terms that Win10 Home Edition will automatically install updates, users can not be artificially controlled. Although Microsoft's setting can save users from "updated" for system updates, this too "automation" setting will also bring a series of troubles, such as problem updates can not be manually blocked, update time is not available Changes, as well as the network traffic used for updates, are difficult to control.

Although Windows 10 currently has a “flow-by-flow” mode, this is limited to WLAN wireless network connections, which are not available in wired network user settings. According to user feedback, some network operators in China currently provide limited traffic services, such as certain campus networks. Users using this type of network have very limited monthly traffic, and users themselves must have good control over their traffic usage. However, due to the automatic update settings of Win10 Home Edition, it is difficult for these users to monitor and schedule the traffic used for the update. Moreover, many users use the wired network connection method, so it is impossible to set any traffic-based mode for this. To take a step back, even if this setting is also open for the wired network, it is currently only used to control the traffic of certain applications. For the hard task of Windows update, it is not known whether it can effectively control.

Obviously, Microsoft did not consider this when setting the update mode for Win10 Home Edition, so many users are very uncomfortable with this setting. Users are caught in a dilemma on system update issues: update fee traffic, not updated. Although Win10 is currently very good, it is really unpleasant to make users unhappy on the key issue of updating. Fortunately, Microsoft's attitude toward Win10 is very open, as long as most users have demand, it will be improved according to the user's wishes.

For improved methods, users have two main opinions:

1, giving users the ability to manually control the update download, allowing users to decide when and where to download

2 , & ldquo; connection according to the flow rate fee to expand to the wired network, and can control the flow of system update downloads

Of course, you can also "persuade" those operators and related units that limit traffic Increase traffic quotas, but this approach seems to be "incapable of returning to the sky".

If you have any other good suggestions, feel free to offer suggestions in the comments section.

What improvements do you think should be made to the Win10 Home Edition update method?
