Windows 10 Build 10158 Getting Started Video Starter

The day before yesterday, Microsoft introduced the Windows 10 preview version of the 10158 for Fast Ring users, which optimized the Photos application, Cortana voice assistant and Surface performance. Yesterday, Microsoft released the upgraded version 10159 again, but added more than 300 fixes, except for the new login interface. In the next video we highlight the updates and changes introduced by the 10158 release.

The detailed update log is as follows:

Edge Browser:

● Items with high popularity vote in user feedback One is to add the “Home” button to the Microsoft Edge browser. In the current version, we turned on the “Show the home button” option in the Settings advanced settings.

● Users are currently allowed to import favorites and history from other browsers on the Edge browser.

● The interface view can be controlled and replaced when the Microsoft Edge browser is started for the first time.

● New tabs add new customization features. You can choose to present popular websites or recommended content -- or just popular websites.

● Added password and form autofill support. The Edge browser can manage the account and password of your favorite websites.

● When Edge is minimized or running in the background, Edge audio will still play.

● You can drag and drop to display a new window.

● Another popular feedback requirement: Have a Dark Theme.

General UX Improvements and Redefinitions:

In the current release you will continue to see general UX improvements and redefinitions. Continuum mode fixes a large number of bugs and improves tablet mode animation, enhanced support for Windows 8/8.1 apps and classic (Win32) apps in tablet mode. When using the start menu, you can swipe up on the left side of the screen to open all apps. This gesture also works in tablet mode, which opens when you swipe on the left side of the start screen.

Taskbar:

On the taskbar, when the app wants to catch your attention, it will flash in orange color. When you are downloading a file or moving a file in Explorer, the current progress is displayed in green on the taskbar.

Cortana Update:

This feature is constantly being enhanced and stabilized. The Notebook library used to record your usage habits and search history seems to be in the final stages. Cortana is able to match the system with a black theme. After tracking the flight, you can receive an email about the flight information or the latest status of the courier package.

Cortana integrates with Office 365:

In the current release, if your company has deployed Office 365, Cortana can integrate it. Cortana is very good at letting you know today's schedule, when and where to make meetings, and even set up your travel plans on the calendar. Cortana is better able to connect to Office 365, improve Cortana's ability to help you better prepare meeting content, know the people attending the meeting and remind you what to do next.

Updated Photos App:

In addition to regular performance and stability improvements, the new Photos app brings many of the most anticipated features of Insider members, such as support for dynamic Gif files.

The “Open with” button has been added to the image view. After viewing this image, click on the “...” button in the top right corner to select “Open with” to link to your saved images, screenshots and albums.

Snipping Tool:

Brew a few new features in the current release. Now the user can set a 5 second delay time to capture the fill menu.

Insider Hub:

Insider Hub is no longer pre-installed on the system. The user can reinstall the application by following these steps:

● Access Settings -> System -> Applications and Features

● Click Manage Optional Features and click Add New Feature.

● Select the Insider Hub entry and click Install.

Surface 3: The current version fixes a bug that prevented Surface 3 from successfully upgrading from previous versions. Users can now upgrade to this new version.

Surface Pro 3: Improve the performance of the Surface Pro 3 and fix several bugs.
