Today, at a developer conference at the Build conference, we finally saw a demonstration of Windows Hello. This is a biometric authentication technology that provides instant access to your Windows 10 device. Windows 10 supports three types of biometric authentication: fingerprints, faces, and irises.
The foreign media WC recorded a video demonstrating the operation of unlocking a computer and performing an application purchase with the face facing the camera. Watch the video demo below. Microsoft is working with hardware partners to provide Windows Hello-enabled devices that will be pre-installed with Windows 10 OEM systems with an Intel RealSense 3D camera (F200) that supports face recognition. Windows Hello will also support all current fingerprint feature devices. More details on sensor requirements and iris certification support are coming, but devices that are selected for support are expected to arrive in the next 12 months.
