How Win8 hides the navigation pane of File Explorer to protect privacy

  

The navigation pane on the left side of the Win8.1 File Explorer will display the library, favorites, computer, network, etc. by default. The favorites will also display the location of the most recently visited item. This item is < The Recently Visited Locations project records recent usage and undoubtedly reveals privacy.

So how do I cancel the display of favorites? Here's how to let the Win8.1 navigation pane not display favorites:

Method one:

This can be found in "How to find library functions in win8.1 system". Figure:

Click the “Navigation pane button under the menu bar, and uncheck "Show Favorites" in the pop-up menu.

Method 2:

Open the “Folder Options” window. The default is the “General” tab. As shown in the figure:

In the “Navigation pane” area, uncheck “Show Favorites” and confirm.

The Win8.1 File Explorer Robbin interface uses the navigation pane of 0ffice2010 to easily view and access objects. This feature is undoubtedly extremely user-friendly.
