Win8 installation KB3000061 update patch failed solution

Solution

1.Win + R shortcuts bring up the "Run" dialog box, type "regedit", and confirm, open "Registry Editor".

2. In the list on the left, navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\\SOFTWARE\\Microsoft\\Windows\\CurrentVersion\\WINEVT\\Publishers.

3. Then delete the {e7ef96be-969f-414f-97d7-3ddb7b558ccc} item under Publishers.

4. Then restart the computer and re-check the Windows update, re-install the KB3000061 update, it should be able to install properly.
