Microsoft will stop selling Win8 retail version and PC

  
pre-installed with Win7 on the 31st of this month. According to the Microsoft Lifecycle page, on October 31, the pre-installed Windows 7 PC will stop selling. Windows 7 here is limited to Home Basic, Home Premium, Ultimate, and PCs pre-installed with Windows 7 Professional can still be sold.

Windows 8 retail will also stop selling on October 31, recommending a more complete Windows 8.1 system.

At present, Microsoft has not confirmed the date of the pre-installation of Windows 8 PC, and the Windows 8.1 retail release date has not yet been finalized.

For users who are already using Windows 7 or Windows 8.1, it is worth noting the mainstream support and extended support for these two operating systems:

Windows 7 SP1 mainstream support until 2015 1 On March 13, extended support until January 14, 2020

Windows 8.1 mainstream support until January 9, 2018, extended support until January 10, 2023
