Microsoft released Win10 preview version 9860 update: new notification center function

Microsoft released the latest technology preview version of the Windows 10 operating system on Tuesday, adding new features such as the notification center on the basis of the previous, and said it has made nearly 7,000 changes to this latest version.

Microsoft released Windows 10 Build 9860, which adds the "Action Center" (notification center) function to the system tray. This version was exposed in September and provided initial information about the Action Center, which was similar to the latest technology preview Windows 10 released on Tuesday. The Windows 10 Action Center collects reminders and notifications from traditional Windows applications and system notifications, as well as information from Windows 8 apps.

The Action Center in this version does not have any actionable notifications, meaning that users cannot respond to incoming messages within the Action Center, but this is the case when Microsoft officially releases Windows next year. It may change at 10 o'clock. Gabe Aul, director of Microsoft Windows programs, said: "This beta version only focuses on activating the basic notification feature, and the quick action and cleaner user interface will be available later. ”

Other changes made in this latest version include support for keyboard shortcuts to allow users to transfer applications from one display to another. Users simply press “Windows logo key + SHIFT key + The combination of the arrow keys will move the application between different displays and Xining. In addition, Microsoft has added a new animation to this version, which is displayed when the user switches the virtual desktop.

Although Microsoft made a lot of changes in this version of Windows 10, the company also pointed out that some user interface features are temporarily "regressed". Orr said: "For example, adding a WiFi network to this beta version has become difficult, and we will make changes later to fix the problem. & rdquo; In addition, the "Start" menu may also disappear, some computers loaded with this version may not be able to properly return to sleep after being "wake up".

Microsoft also added an option to Windows 10 Build 9860 that allows users to choose the frequency of the latest test version. In other words, the user can select both fast and slow settings. The former setting allows the user to receive the test version faster, but these versions may have bugs; in the latter setting, the user receives the test version. The frequency is lower, but the stability is slightly higher.

This latest technology preview version of the Windows 10 operating system has been released for download on Tuesday, about 2GB in size, depending on the user's personal computer system.
