After the computer is turned on, the screen displays Missing operating system” error, it can't enter the system normally. What is the reason for this situation? How to solve it? Today, Xiaobian will give you an analysis. After the computer power-on self-test, there is a "Missing operating system" error, there are three reasons for the failure:

1. There is a problem in the system boot area; 2. The computer is attacked by a virus; 3. The hard disk appears problem.

It is generally due to an error in the system boot record. The system boot record is located in the logical 0 sector and is generated by the advanced format command FORMAT. After checking the partition table is correct, the main boot program reads the system boot record according to the starting address of the system partition indicated in the partition table. If the read fails, the error message "Error loading operating system" is displayed, if it can be read correctly When the system boot record is issued, the master boot program checks whether the last two bytes of the system boot record are 55AA. If it is not these two bytes, it gives a prompt of "Missing operation system". Under normal circumstances, you can use NDD to repair. If it is not successful, you have to use the FORMAT C:/S command to rewrite the DOS boot record.

If the problem persists, you can solve it by reinstalling the system.

Specific steps:

1, repartitioning with partition disk, it is estimated to be 0 track error, so partition first partition or hidden partition (must have), the main partition In the end, because the 0 track can be guided, the 255 track can also be guided. 2, the system must start the three files: MSDOS.SYS, IO.SYS and COMMAND.COM, you can use the system reply disk to enter the DOS program copy into the system disk:

type copy MSDOS.SYS C: type Copy IO.SYS C: Type copy COMMAND.COM C
