Symptom: A friend's computer with PIII 1GHz, 128MB memory, 20GB hard disk, and Windows XP operating system has recently had a problem. The phenomenon is rolling after startup. After the scrolling several times, a black screen appears, but the hard disk light is still flashing. After waiting for a while, it still cannot be restored. Although it can enter safe mode, it is much slower than usual.

Troubleshooting: First kill the virus, nothing found. Enable Windows XP's system restore function, restore the system to the day before the problem occurs, the fault remains. Finally, I used Ghost software to restore the system, or not.

Later, the network cable was unintentionally pulled out, and the fault was solved smoothly. But as long as the Internet cable is not able to boot. After starting Windows XP, if you plug in the network cable again, the system will be slow to respond immediately, and it is very difficult to move the mouse.

After inspection, it was found that there was a slight short circuit in the crystal head of the cable. A very thin copper wire was placed on the two shrapnels, which caused the above phenomenon. After using the tweezers to clip out the small copper wire, plug in the Internet cable, start the computer, and smoothly enter Windows XP, and the speed is as fast as it used to be.
