BIOS Settings

System property settings
After entering Win 98, right click on the "My Computer" icon on the desktop, select the properties sub-item from the pop-up menu, and enter the system property settings window. Registry settings

This process of detection is not a second or two, and it is really unreasonable to encounter it. People are upset, then we need to make some settings in the registry to shield this useless floppy drive letter, as follows.

Enter "Regedit" in the run dialog box, click OK, open the registry editor, expand HKEY _CURRENT_USERSoftwareMicrosoftWindows CurrentVersionPoliciesExplorer, and see the list box on the right. This box already has a key value. This key value indicates The floppy drive symbol is displayed regardless of whether a floppy drive is installed on your PC. Use the right mouse button to click in the blank space of the list box, select a new "binary value" from the pop-up floating menu, change the name to "NoDrives", and then double-click the changed name to bring up the "Edit Binary Value" dialog box. Enter the key value "01000000", click OK, close the "Edit Binary Value" dialog box, then you can see the new key value after editing.

Close the Registry Editor without rebooting the machine. Open my computer, you can see the effect, can't find the floppy drive letter. When you need to use a floppy drive, you can delete the binary value you created.
