Computer store news: Microsoft today confirmed that after the launch of Windows 10 Phone technology preview, Project Spartan (Spartan) browser will replace Internet Explorer on mobile phones. Although the current Windows 10 Phone Technology Preview build does not yet provide a Project Spartan browser, the new rendering engine is already hosted in Internet Explorer.

What's new in the Windows 10 Phone Technology Preview:

The new Windows 10 Phone network platform features the same interoperability improvements, new features, and performance improvements And standard support improvements, we have verified on the PC in the past few months.

Windows 10 Phone introduces a new user agent string. Our new desktop user agent string for the most modern design, interoperable mobile web content. The website checks for new strings that should be noted for user agent string analysis, but we still believe that feature detection rather than browser detection is the best solution for web developers writing interoperable content.

The new rendering engine will be used for web pages loaded in all Windows 10 Phone browsers. Just like on a computer, the “x-ua-compatible” tag will no longer be supported, forcing the removal of the old compatibility document mode. This will ensure that mobile web sites are always up to date with the most interoperable engines.

Another good news from the IE team is that the universal app gets new rendering engine support and will always get the latest updates. Applications supported by Windows Phone 8.1 and earlier by WebBrowser or WebView controls will continue to be supported by Trident.
