Win8 life short

Computer Store News: Windows 8 just went on sale at the end of October last year. According to the update cycle of the desktop operating system, the system is still quite new, but Microsoft seems to have started the two most important major upgrades. According to reports, the first upgrade for Windows 8 is called Windows Blue, which is likely to be completed this summer, and the second is Windows 8 a full-generation version of Windows 9.

At present, Microsoft is still tight-lipped about the future system plan. Although the above information has not been confirmed, some sources who know the inside story claim that the new Windows 9 operating system will not wait too long, next year. Can really debut, Microsoft will release the Beta version of Windows 9 on January 7, 2014, and the Release Candidate version will be completed in July 2014. If everything goes well as planned, Windows 9 RTM will be developed in October 2014, and finally a public meeting will be held in November.

If information is confirmed, Windows 8 will last only two years, and there will be only one major upgrade between the old and new generations. In addition, sources indicate that Windows 9 also removes the “Start” button, and Microsoft is more focused on developing the Start Screen and adding more configuration options. Therefore, the third-party "start" button is still one of the ways for users to restore the system's usage habits, but Microsoft hopes that all users will get used to the start screen as soon as possible.

Having said that, all this is just rumors, so any factors may change before Microsoft announces a new step, including the Windows Blue upgrade that may be released in August this year. The only thing that can be confirmed now is that Microsoft has started the development of Windows 9, so the time when the system was released, we will follow up further if there is more reliable information in the future.

Some of the features of the Windows Blue upgrade in August include:

- There are no major changes to the UI, there is no start button, and the start screen/desktop interface has not changed.

- Lower power consumption.

- Better performance, streamline the kernel.

- Improve Metro Applications

- Multi-window applications.
