Microsoft Xbox 360 sales in December is 1 million more than Nintendo Wii U

According to Microsoft data, the Xbox 360 game console sold 1.4 million units in December last year, while the Nintendo Wii U sold 460,000 units.

According to historical experience, the launch of the new game console will generate huge demand, thus defeating the opponent's old game console model in terms of sales. However, this experience is now apparently ineffective. Although Nintendo sells Wii U on both online and physical stores, it still sells no more than the Xbox 360.

Satoru Iwata, head of Nintendo, said earlier this week that Wii U’s sales were “not bad”. In an email to CNET, Nintendo said that the Wii U was only 41 days old, with unit sales reaching 890,000, and hardware sales in the US market exceeded $300 million.
