At present, the latest demonstration by Oval Industries of Los Angeles shows that people can control computers without gestures. The keyboard, the touch screen or the mouse, but only waving the hand in the air, and without the need to control in front of the computer screen, can be operated in front of the wall, which is very similar to the plot in the sci-fi blockbuster "Minority Report".

John De Coffler, chief scientist at Elliptical Industries, previously designed a gesture-driven user interface, the interactive interface in the 2002 sci-fi blockbuster "Minority Report" The company is currently selling commercial version of the gesture-driven operating system.

De Coffler uses the "g-language" system to demonstrate a new gesture system that requires the user to wear a special glove. The sensor points on the glove are connected to the built-in gesture control camera. The sensing system not only tracks the changes in the hand, but also tracks the fingers.

For example, people can extend their thumb to control the mouse on the screen, then move the thumb down to make a selection, and the thumb-index finger can circle the target to “select all” operation instructions. Then select the target from one screen & ldquo; throw & rdquo; to another screen so that the data can exist on any screen. De Coffler said that any device is a workspace that facilitates the movement of data.

Based on this system, we can view interactive panoramas of downtown Los Angeles, pick clips from movie clips, and then place them on another screen to view national visual flight and traffic conditions.
