Microsoft Win8 user interface will be greatly modified

Aero glass effects enable the system interface of the title bar, taskbar, etc. to have a transparent frosted glass. In Windows 8, this effect will be canceled and replaced with a more flat and neutral effect.

In addition to aesthetic reasons, another important reason for Microsoft to cancel Aero effects is that this special effect takes up a lot of system resources and energy consumption. As Windows 8 needs to be optimized for a range of new power-consuming devices such as tablets and ultrabooks, Microsoft has to eliminate Aero effects that require high system performance and power consumption.
