Yesterday Microsoft announced the new version of Windows 7 SP1 to start testing. Microsoft released the first beta version of Windows 7 SP1 in mid-July, with the build number Build 7601.16562.100603-1800. Yesterday, Microsoft confirmed that Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1 have completed a new version, version number Build 7601.17077, but only for some PC and Technology Adoption Program (TAP) partners.

Although this news was announced yesterday, as early as August 27, some testers have received a new version, the version number is Build 7601.17077, unfortunately there is no new version of this update. The information of the added function is leaked.

An official Microsoft spokesperson pointed out: "A non-public interim release was released on Friday. As part of the regular feedback, it was only for a small group of testers: TAP and OEM OEMs. ” As for whether Microsoft will provide another intermediate transition test version before SP1 is completed, the official spokesperson said that Microsoft will not comment.

Windows 7/Server 2008 R2 SP1 includes updates, patches, and two new virtualization tools since the release of Windows 7/Server 2008 R2 RTM: Microsoft RemoteFX and Dynamic Memory. In addition, everyone is reminded that the beta version of the beta released by Microsoft will expire on June 30, 2011.
