Steps:

1 Download the CD image file of the operating system you need to install from the Internet, WinXP, Win2003, Vista, Linux can be.

2 Create a new virtual machine in VMware. Note that the type of virtual machine is the same as the operating system you are installing.

3Start the virtual machine, and then edit the “optical drive” in “Removable Device” while the virtual machine is running, as shown below.
