Reading Memory SPD Information

To modify memory SPD information, you must know the memory SPD information. Take the author's notebook as an example. After running the CPU-Z software, switch to the “SPD” window and select “Slot #1” under “Memory Slot Selection”. At this point, you can see the standard memory as Hyundai DDR2 667 ( 512MB). After selecting "Slot #2", you can see that the upgraded memory is Samsung DDR2 533 (512MB). If you modify Samsung memory, the memory frequency will be used from DDR2 533 to DDR2 667, which means overclocking the memory, but it must be To confirm the overclocking potential, for security reasons, I decided to modify the modern memory, that is, the memory is reduced from DDR2 667 to DDR2 533.

1. Run the SPD Tool and select DDR2533 memory under the “File→Read” menu. For example, the memory is installed in slot 1. In this case, select “Module 1: Installed”.

2. After the software reads the memory SPD information, select “Save” under the “File” menu to save the memory SPD information.

3. Go to the “File→Write” menu and select “Module 2: Installed”. The software will immediately write the memory.
