Quickly delete My Network Places shared folder

Open the Windows Network Neighborhood window and you can see the list of shared folders that we have visited. But what is puzzling is that the shared folder has been deleted on other computers, but it can still be seen in the online neighbor window. How can I delete these invalid garbage shared folders?

In fact, the shared folder history we have visited is stored in the registry, as long as we modify the registry slightly to solve this problem. Open the "Run" window, enter "regedit" and press Enter. On the left side of the Registry Editor, select "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESoftwareMicrosoftWindowsCurrentVersionNetworkLanMan". On the right side, we can see a list of all the shared folders that have been accessed. Right click on the deleted folder. Share the folder and select the "Delete" command in the pop-up menu.

If you feel that it is troublesome to operate in the registry, then we still have a "virus attack" approach. Just create a folder with the same name as the shared folder to be deleted locally, then share the folder, so the system will prompt the sharing conflict window, click the "Yes" button to delete the share in the network neighborhood. The folder is gone.
