Tailored Windows Server 2008 for my use

Windows 2008 is Microsoft's latest version of the Server operating system, which is more powerful than the previous Server system in terms of security and features. But as an individual user, it has a certain distance from everyone, and some of these features may never be used. As a system enthusiast, it is necessary to build Windows 2008, make trade-offs in terms of functions, and tailor a personal version of the operating system to make Windows 2008 work for me. Below we create a personal version of Windows 2008 from four aspects.

1. Login and Close

(1) Press Ctrl+Alt+Delete when canceling login

Click “Start→Run” in the desktop task bar in the pop-up window. Enter gpedit.msc to open the Group Policy Editor. In the left frame of the Group Policy Editor, expand in order: Computer Configuration→Windows Settings→Security Settings→Local Policies. Click “Security Options” in the box on the right to find “Interactive Login: Do not press CTRL+ALT+DEL” .

Right click on "Interactive Login: Do not press CTRL+ALT+DEL", click "Properties" in the pop-up menu, and click "Enabled" in the Properties tab. (Fig. 1)

Click "OK" and close the window. In this way, you don't have to press the "CTRL+ALT+DEL" key combination to log in when you start the computer later. (Fig. 2)

(2) Cancel Enter the password to log in to the system

Open the Group Policy Editor and navigate to: Computer Configuration→WINDOWS Settings→Security Settings→Account Policies→Password Policy. Under this path, find "Password must meet complexity requirements" set to disabled, and "Password Length Minimum" is set to 0. This way you can create a user account with a blank password. (3) Tips for canceling the reason for shutdown

Open the Group Policy Editor and navigate to: Computer Configuration → Administrative Templates → System → Display Shutdown Event Tracking, and then disable this option. (Fig. 5)

(1) Reduce IE security level

(3) Turn off IE SEC

The server system requires high security, so Microsoft gives IE added security enhancements. This makes IE's security level in the Internet area always the highest, and can not be adjusted overall.

3, Beautify

(1) Install the desktop experience

Because it is a server system, the default is no gorgeous effect, the opening method is as follows:

(3) The picture in the folder cannot be displayed.

4, security

Windows Server family operating system has always had a weakness is that the Administrators group user rights are very High, such as remote IPC connection, terminal service login, use of administrator account is not limited. Individual users should disable anonymous access by remote users, open the Registry Editor, navigate to the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\\SYSTEM\\CurrentControlSet\\Control\\LSA branch, and modify RestrictAnonymous to 1 on the right.
