Windows 2000 operating system shared Internet Raiders

The premise of this method is that the user has two or more computers, Windows 2000 server must have MODEM (what is this?), "client" is best Windows 98 is installed, of course Windows 2000 is also available. Ok, so much nonsense, then we officially started!

First of all, we have to move on the Windows 2000 server, to configure Internet connection sharing, you must log in as a member of the Administrators group.

With "Network and Dial-up Connection" → "New Connection", the "Welcome to the Network Connection Wizard" is launched, click "Next", select "Dial-up to Private Network", click "Next", Enter 163 in the "Phone Number Bar" (or the special service number you dialed), then select "All users use this connection" (this is the same as "just use this link myself": other login users can't see Go to this connection), click "Next", enter the connection name, and successfully establish a dial-up connection. Then you can enter your account number and password!

Then the key point is to click on "Properties", find the "Share" tab, and select "√" before "Internet Connection Sharing with this connection", below "Request-Dial" is a new feature of Windows 2000 that allows the server to automatically dial the connection automatically when a computer on the LAN has a dial-up request, provided you have chosen "Save Password" but security Just a little...

If you don't set an IP address, it will automatically set it to 192.168.0.1 for you, and automatically add a subnet mask of 255.255.255.0 for you (how, smarter than Win98) . Ok, Windows 2000 is done, it's your turn to "Client"!

Add the correct protocol on the client Windows 98 (Windows 2000): TCP/IP, NetBEUI protocol. By the way, by the way, many friends use the IPX/SPX protocol to communicate with other computers on the LAN. In fact, IPX (Internet Packet Exchange) is the native NetWare protocol used on older Novell networks. NetBEUI (NetBIOS extended user interface) is suitable for small workgroups or LANs. It is much more efficient than the former. It is recommended that friends use it when doing network. Then, the IP address in TCP/IP is specified as 192.168.0.2... The subnet mask is 255.255.255.0, the gateway and DNS are set to the server's IP, ie 192.168.0.1, and restarting is fine.

Still using the old method Ping to verify the LAN is good, if it is passed, it means that there is no problem between Server and Client. Then let us try again, use the server to dial, open your client, start your IE, enter a URL, how, success?

After all this is done, when your server dials up successfully, the client can swim with the server on the Internet. Is it more convenient than Wingate and Sygate? But also note that due to the relationship between Modem, it is impossible to drive a lot of machines, just to stop it! Don't be too greedy! If you tell me that you are using ISDN, ADSL, etc., then when I am anything Didn't say, huh, huh...
