In order to help users solve the problems in the Windows Vista
SP1 upgrade, Microsoft released a new knowledge base article KB948343, explaining in detail why it is impossible to find Vista
SP1 on Windows Update, and how to deal with it. The Chinese version of the update also has a strong guiding significance. If Windows Update and AutoUpdate can't find Vista
SP1, then see if you have one of the following 8 problems:
1. You are already running Vista
SP1. 2, the system language is not in the first version of Vista
SP1. 3. Use the Windows SP upgrade package interceptor to disable automatic updates. 4. I tried to install Vista
SP1 but failed due to file or registry conflicts. 5. The hardware device driver or device software is not compatible with Vista
SP1 (see details later). 6, has installed Vista
SP1 beta, but has not been uninstalled. 7. I used the third-party tool vLite to configure the system and removed some of the system components needed to upgrade Vista
SP1. 8. I have hidden optional updates provided by Windows Update, and these updates are prerequisites for upgrading SP1. The corresponding solutions are as follows: 1. Check the system version and uninstall the installed Vista
SP1 beta. 2. Vista
SP1 is currently available in English, French, German, Japanese, and Spanish. The other 31 languages will wait a while. 3. Please disable the Windows upgrade package interception tool. 4. Check the solution online. 5. In order to ensure the reliability of the system upgrade, Windows Update will not provide Vista
SP1 to systems containing some device drivers and application software, because Microsoft believes that these drivers, programs and Vista
SP1 have compatibility issues. The details are as follows: Audio device driver: Realtek AC97: 32-bit Alcxwdm.sys, 64-bit Alcxwdm64.sys version 6.0.1.6242 or older SigmaTel: 32-bit Sthda.sys, 64-bit Sthda64.sys version 5.15.0762.0 or older SigmaTel: 32-bit Sttwt.sys, 64-bit Stwrt64.sys version 5.10.1762.0 or older HD Audio: 32-bit Chdart.sys, 64-bit Chdart64.sys version 4.32.0.0 or older Creative Audigy: 32-bit Ctaud2k. Upgrade and install Vista
SP1 on the Vista
RTM. You can uninstall it directly; install the integrated board Vista
SP1 test directly. The version must be upgraded directly to the official integrated version, or uninstalled to install RTM and SP1. 7, do not use vLite to blindly "weight loss" system. 8. Select "Restore hidden updates" on Windows Update and try to install all the upgrade patches provided, including KB935509, KB938371, KB937287, and so on.
