Unable to uninstall Vista solution in dual system

A laptop with Windows XP operating system and later Vista installed, due to system disk space requirements, decided to uninstall Vista operating system. Uninstalling Vista in a dual operating system does not uninstall Vista through an uninstaller like a normal application. We can properly and effectively uninstall the Vista system in the dual system as follows.

Normally, users often install Windows XP on the C drive of the laptop and Vista on other partitions.

1. Press the Power button on the panel of the main unit to start the laptop and enter the Windows XP operating system. Select the menu <;Start”→“Run”, in the "Run” dialog box, type “C:\\boot\\fixntfs-XP” (excluding the outer quotes), press Enter to restart the laptop The purpose of this is to clear the Vista boot menu from the boot options menu.

2, in the disk list box on the left side of the resource manager, select the partition letter where the Vista operating system is located, right click on it, select the "Format" & rdquo; command, partition the disk where Vista is located format.

3, if the prompt message can not be formatted, then you can use the Windows XP installation CD to start the laptop into the recovery console, format the disk partition where Vista is located. The purpose of this is to release the disk partition occupied by the Vista operating system. The reason for choosing to format rather than delete the file is because the formatting is more thorough and it also helps to improve the disk performance.

4, formatted, restart the laptop into the Windows XP operating system, open the resource manager, delete the following directories and files. C drive "Boot" folder and "Boot.BAK, bootmgr, BOOTSECT.BAK" and other files, these directories and files can be deleted to completely uninstall Vista.

This will completely uninstall Vista in the dual system. If you use the wrong means to uninstall Vista, sometimes it will not only cause the uninstallation of Vista to be incomplete, but also cause another operating system to not work properly.
