Windows Vista system driver installation

I recently bought a computer with Windows Vista pre-installed. I didn't have any software after booting. To be on the safe side, I found a Windows Vista installation CD and used another HP500 laptop for the installation test.

After installing Windows Vista Ultimate, I found that Windows Vista did not recognize all the devices. Open the device manager and you can see that there are three devices, such as modem, sound card and shortcut keys. (Windows Vista should have A large device driver library, how can I not find the driver for the modem and the sound card!) No way I have to find the Windows XP driver for the HP500. Let me introduce how to make Windows Vista compatible with the Windows XP driver.

Windows XP drivers are not verified by Windows Vista. You cannot double-click the driver installation file when installing the driver. Because of some driver compatibility issues, although the first installation is successful, it still cannot be run after reboot. The correct installation method is: right-click the driver installation file, and then click the second item of the menu "Run as administrator".

The User Account Control prompt box will pop up. Just click Continue. The system will automatically install the driver, the steps are the same as the Windows XP installation driver, but some drivers will prompt compatibility issues after installation. Just click "Already installed the program correctly", the device manager will be found after the installation is completed. The question marks in the ones are reduced one by one, and finally the sound is there, and the shortcut keys can work normally.

With the above method, we can make Windows Vista compatible with Windows XP drivers.
