Add a personalized logo to Windows Vista

Most PC manufacturers will add the corresponding manufacturer logo (logo), service phone, support information, etc. in the pre-installed Windows system to distinguish it from the "universal" Windows and display the "professional" of the manufacturer. In terms of achieving this, it is not technically complicated. It is quite simple to integrate the corresponding content in the installation package or to modify the system after installation.

Similarly, we can add our own personalized logo to our Windows Vista in the same way, through Microsoft's extension interface reserved for OEMs. The following is a brief introduction to the specific implementation steps.

First, you need to prepare a Logo image for yourself. The image file must be in BMP format. As for the picture size, it is better to not exceed 200 × 200 pixels. Copy it into the %SystemRoot%\\system32 directory;

Open Notepad or other plain text editor, copy the following content, save as *.reg file: Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\\SOFTWARE\\Microsoft\\Windows\\CurrentVersion

\\OEMInformation]

"HelpCustomized" = "false"

"Logo"="c:\\\\windows \\\\system32\\\\oemlogo.bmp”

“SupportHours”=”24 hours a day”

“SupportPhone”=”+86 xxx-xxxx-xxxx”

“SupportURL”=”http://windows-vista.highdiy.com/”

“Manufacturer”=”HighDiy Computer”

Note: The above information can be modified according to the specific situation. For example, logo file name, phone number, support website, etc.

Double-click the file to import the corresponding information into the registry.

After the setting is completed, check the properties of the "computer", you can see that the information displayed on the property page has changed, as shown below:
