Installing Vista Terminal Services Client

on Win XP

Installing the Vista RDP client on WinXP is a pain, and this article will tell you every step of a successful installation.

If some of our friends use the Vista operating system, use its remote desktop client mstsc.exe, and use a broadband display, they will find the mstsc.exe RDP client compared to the standard Windows XP Pro version. At the end, Vista has a distinct advantage! Widescreen! Yes, very correct! Unlike the normal Microsoft Windows XP mstsc program, the Vista version of this program takes into account the full use of the computer screen, especially if you use a widescreen display. Such as DELL or some other such equipment.

But how should I install it? If you simply replace the file in XP with the Vista version of the mstsc.exe file, it will only terminate when an error occurs during use. //This article comes from the computer software and hardware application network www.45it.com

Below I teach you how to install (X86 system):

Copy these four files from Vista

mstsc.exe

mstscax.dll

mstsc.exe.mui

mstscax.dll.mui

Renaming your XP operating system windows These two files in the /system32 directory: mstsc.exe and mstscax.dll.

Copy and paste the new Vista version of mstsc.exe and mstscax.dll into your system32 directory.

In your system32 directory, create a new directory: "en-US" (without quotes).

Copy and paste the mstsc.exe.mui and mstscax.dll.mui files into this en-US folder.

Run mstsc.exe as usual, you are already using it. Now you can enjoy the new experience brought by Vista Remote Desktop Client!

PS: Actually Copy the above four files to any folder and you can use them normally. The Vista version of the Terminal Services client has been further improved. You must enter a remote password to connect.
