How to clean the system disk (C disk) under XP system

  
Step 1: Clean up temporary files
Click on Start-->All Programs-->Accessories-->System Tools-->Disk Cleanup, select C drive OK, check all options, click OK, make sure to delete the temporary file and wait for it to end.
Second Step: Clean up videos and pictures
Open my document on the desktop. This is the default save folder for saving videos, pictures and music. Select the file you want to delete, right click and select Delete.
Step 3: Clean up the system restore point
Click on the bottom left corner-->All programs-->Accessories-->System Tools--> Disk Cleanup, select C drive OK, select other Option, select Cleanup under System Restore, select Yes in the pop-up options, and choose OK.
Note: Clearing the system restore point will save the last restore point of the system. If the system is used normally, it will not cause serious consequences.
Step 4: Clean up the C drive program
Click on the bottom left corner-->Control Panel--> Add or remove programs, select the program to be deleted, select Change or Remove Program, select Yes to continue And finally click Finish. If reinstalling, it is recommended to install the program to a partition other than the C drive.
Step 5: Modify Virtual Memory
Right click on the computer and select Properties. On the right side of the Performance Options “Advanced" Performance" tab, select “Set" > Advanced & rdquo; tab, click Change, in the pop-up interface, select the C drive, select "No paging file" below, click OK, then select another disk, select "custom size" or "quo" system management Size", after the change is complete, click “Set", “OK", and take effect after reboot.
Part 6: Turn off the hibernation function
Click on the start of the lower left corner, enter “cmd” in the file search box, right click on the command prompt, select Run as administrator, at the command prompt Enter "“powercfg -h off" to enter, this setting can save about 1GB of disk space.
