Windows system comes with the drive letter hiding function introduction (1)

Recently, the author went to a friend's house to visit, and had nothing to do with playing a new computer purchased by a friend. But click on the "My Computer" icon on the desktop, but found that the drive letter name is hidden, such as evaporation (Figure 1).

Is it a virus? Or what optimization software is used? I can't help but ask my friends. Later, I learned that the Windows system comes with a function to hide the drive letter name. The drive letter name is not displayed in the My Computer and Explorer windows without the use of optimization software.

The method is very simple. In the "My Computer" or "Explorer" window, the user presses the "Shift" button on the left side of the keyboard, while using the right mouse button in the blank space on the desktop, the pop-up menu Select the "View" - "Thumbnail" option, and the user will find that the folder icon and the drive letter icon displayed in thumbnail mode do not display the name and the drive letter number (Figure 2).

At the same time, when a friend finds a document for the author, the author is surprised to find that he opened a folder with no icon, no name, and completely blank.
