Third, junk file cleaning

There are some files on the hard disk with the suffix "bak" and "tmp", which are actually backup files. And temporary files, but usually, we don't need them, so it's best to remove them to avoid taking up valuable hard drive space. However, these files are not only numerous, but also scattered around the hard disk, manual cleaning is very troublesome. In fact, they can be quickly deleted through the system's "search" function. To do this, click on "All Files and Folders" in the search wizard, then define the search scope as all hard disk partitions, and enter "*.bak;*.tmp" under "All or part of the file name" (Figure 3, Quotes are not included. Note: If you want to delete multiple types of files, you can list them separately, separated by semicolons. Then click "Search", after the completion, the search results will be listed in the file browsing window. Press Ctrl+A to select all files, right-click and select “Delete” from the menu to delete all the junk files (you can also delete them completely by pressing Shift+Del).

IV. Finding Forgotten Documents

Have you ever encountered this situation: After writing an article, when you give the file a name, for a convenience, write a file name indiscriminately. But I don't remember it in a few days. This article can be easily retrieved through Windows Search.

Select "Documents" in the search wizard, then click "More advanced options" and see "A word or phrase in the document" above (Figure 4)? Yes, you can forget the file name, but the content of the article is more or less always remembered. Enter a word in the article here, then press "Search" to see if the "Forgotten Document" is back again?
