The auto answer file creation tool provided by Microsoft (Installation Manager, located on the installation CD: SupportToolsDeploy.cab file) Although it can complete our task, it is too cumbersome to operate. But Winnt.sif Creator software can help us to create our own installation CD. It is green software. After decompressing, directly execute WINNTSIF.exe to open the main interface window shown in Figure 1. We only introduce the option settings related to this article.

Step 1: Copy the required systems, drivers, and corresponding tool software. First copy all the files of the Windows XP installation CD to the hard disk, such as g:winxp, then create the \\%oem% subfolder under the winxp folder, then create a subdirectory under the folder, and then It creates two subdirectories, drivers and install, which are used to save device drivers and application installation files. Remember not to take the Chinese name.

Step 2: Implement Unattended Installation of Windows XP

Complete the corresponding settings in the [Configuration] section:

1.Data: Data Options, Default Settings The installation CD will boot the system from the CD. If you choose to boot the system from Floppy (floppy disk), you can reset it here. Auto Partition allows the system to automatically select the installation partition. Otherwise, the installer will ask the user to make a decision. It is recommended to select this item. figure 1.

2.Unattended: Unattended installation settings. Repartition can automatically delete the current partition and re-create it as NTFS format, otherwise it will start installation and use the original file system directly; Show Create User Screen can display the account creation screen; Auto Activate option will automatically activate Windows XP, provided that it has been established Internet connection, and the installation serial number must be valid. The Driver Path text box here allows the user to fill in the path information of the device driver, which will be described in detail later; the Target Path text box defines the Windows XP installation folder. The default setting is "Windows", which is generally not changed.

3.GUIUnattended: Set the graphical user interface for unattended installation. Here you can set the system administrator password. The Skip Regional Screen option allows you to skip the zone selection during the installation process. The Timezone Index represents the time zone code. Click the View Time Zone Index Values ​​link to view the details. Here we should enter 210 (China) Standard time zone); As for the following Profiles Path is used to set the user profile save path, you can leave the default settings.

4.UserData: User data settings, as shown in Figure 2, where you can enter the 25-digit installation serial number, user name, unit name, computer name and other information.

5.TapiLocation: Country code setting, for example, the country code of the United States is 44, click the View Country Codes link to view the details, we should enter 86.

6.RegionalSettings: area code settings, click the View Group Values ​​link to view the details, Simplified Chinese users should enter 10 in the Language Group box.
