After the system upgrade, the network speed has slowed down. Why is this?

Last weekend, my friends complained why the speed of broadband Internet access has slowed down after upgrading from Win98 to XP. We will not talk about the upcoming delisting of XP system. Not to mention the limitations of the XP system itself, we can use the exclusion method to troubleshoot the problems encountered by the system.

First, let's see if there is a problem with the driver version and application compatibility. To solve this problem, you can download the latest driver from the device provider's website to install it.

Secondly, bandwidth utilization can be maximized by setting Windows XP.

The specific steps are as follows:

1. On the system desktop, select “Start →Run”, type and run in the Open ” dialog box that appears. “gpedit.msc” command to open the “group policy” window.

2. From the "Administrative Templates", find the "Network" project, there is a "QOS Packet Scheduling" item.

3. After expanding, you can see a "Restrict bandwidth reserved" item under the “Settings" column on the right side of the window.

4. Double-click the item to see the "bandwidth limit" here. The default value is 20%, as long as the parameter is changed to "already enabled" and the "bandwidth limit" value will be set. Change to “0%” to maximize bandwidth utilization.

After the above steps are set for a friend's computer, the effect is obvious, and the broadband Internet speed is rapidly increasing. If you are experiencing slowdown in the network after the system upgrade, why not try the above methods to improve the speed of the Internet!
