TechRepublic's Bill Detwiler has produced a video tutorial on how to make a USB bootable disk under Windows XP. You need a bootable USB flash drive. Your computer's BIOS needs to support USB boot. At the same time, you need Download a free program called PE Builder. Finally, we need Windows Server 2003 Service Pack 1 to get two files from it, of course, you also need to have the installation CD for Windows XP.

Here are the brief steps

Download PE Builder and install it, build an SRSP1 subfolder in the PE Builder installation directory, which is the two files extracted from Windows Server 2003 SP1 storage location.

The name of the Windows Server 2003 SP1 package you downloaded is generally WindowsServer2003-KB889101-SP1-ENU.exe. Use the command to run the following command to unpack the files in the upgrade package to a temporary folder: WindowsServer2003-KB889101-SP1-ENU.exe -x

Then, from the file of the Windows Server 2003 SP installation package that you unpacked, copy the following two files to the SRSP1 folder created in the first step:

setupldr.bin
