How to modify QoS to improve network speed under WinXP

When we install WinXP system, we will see QoS in the network properties. QoS is a network connection program specially provided for WinXP users. The system calls this program by default, but for many people, this function is not too big. The role, but also affects the network speed, so the average user is better to modify the QoS.

Modify the method as follows:

1. Click the “Start” menu and select “Run” to enter “>Gpedit.msc” in the dialog box and click [OK] ] button to open the group policy.

2, in the tree directory on the left, find "Computer Configuration & Rarr; Management Template & Rarr; Network & Rarr; QoS Packet Scheduler" directory entry and click, find and double click on the right side of the window "Restrict the reserved bandwidth" tag item (see the attached figure), select "Allowed" in the "Restricted Bandwidth Attributes" dialog box, and adjust the number to "In the Bandwidth Limit" box. ;0”, finally click the [OK] button and exit the Group Policy Editor.

3, change this setting without having to restart the system. At this point, the user can see the “QoS Packet Scheduler” in the General Properties tab of the Network Connection Properties dialog box. If there is no such entry, the modification is not successful and the QoS still occupies 20% of the bandwidth.

Tip: If the network adapter has been bandwidth-limited in the registry, the above settings will be ignored.

After the QoS modification is successful, you can find a big video download to see if you find that the speed has improved a little. If there is any improvement, it means that the modification has played a role, and the friend who thinks the method is useful, Welcome to share more friends.
